Abstract

The development of IoT technology is increasing, one of which is by applying new concepts to
the development of large spaces that are implemented in smart homes to provide comfort, and
security. By using Arduino-based fingerprints, analysis is needed to design a door security system
using fingerprints as the main authentication. The method used in this research is to use wifi to
initialize the fingerprint sensor and solenoid, access the system, read requests and continue the
command to open the door. Everyone who enters the house must scan their fingerprints on the
fingerprint sensor, in order to open the door. Meanwhile, to open the door from inside the house,
by touching the sensor, after the test, it can be concluded that this system or tool can be used as a
security for the door of the house by using a fingerprint with an average time of reading the
fingerprint sensor for 1.4 seconds
